How to apply for the complimentary Academic/Faculty Membership? (First-Time Applicants)

Good News! If you’re a full-time faculty member at an accredited veterinary or veterinary technician school, you’re eligible to apply for a complimentary VETgirl ELITE Membership.🎉

🆕 If You’re New (No Account Yet)

1. Go to the top right of your screen and click Join VETgirl.

 

2. On the registration page, select the ELITE Single Membership Level:

Enter your information:

When prompted select your role:
 
📝Note: To qualify for a free Academic/Faculty membership, you must select either the Veterinarian Academic/Faculty or Veterinary Technician Academic/Faculty option.

⚠️Important Note: If you’re a Veterinary Technician or Nurse working at an accredited veterinary or vet tech school, be sure to select “Academic/Faculty” as your role. This will enable the complimentary membership application. Selecting “Veterinary Technician/Nurse” instead will only show the discounted membership and require payment.
 

Once you’ve created your login and accepted the terms and conditions, click Next.

3. On the next page, upload a valid document for verification.


 

After uploading your document, click "Next" to continue with your account registration.

4. On the next page, complete all required fields and click Next.

5. If you have a license, enter your details; if not, just click Next to skip this step.

 

6. Once you reach the checkout page, you will see a confirmation message indicating that your coupon code has been successfully applied:

At the bottom of the page, the balance will display a $0 balance for the complimentary membership:

 

7. Click the "Place Order" button to continue.

 

8. On the following page, you will see a notification confirming your successful application for the complimentary membership. 

A member of the VETgirl team will review your submitted documentation and will contact you if additional information is necessary to verify your eligibility. Otherwise, your membership will be activated within 72 hours of application, and you'll receive an email notifying you of the upgrade.

⚠️ Important Notes:

  • Please submit your application only once, unless a VETgirl team member asks you to reapply. Multiple submissions may delay processing.

🔄 If You Already Have a VETgirl Account (Basic or Trial)

  1. Sign in to your account and visit the Membership Page.

  2. From the Membership page, click Upgrade.


  3. On the following page, select ELITE Single Membership.

When prompted select your role:

Current (Paid) ELITE member Application

If you are a current VETgirl ELITE paying member and are eligible for a complimentary membership, visit your Membership page.

Under Membership Details, click "CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION RENEWAL" to opt out of auto-renewal for your current plan:

 

Canceling your subscription renewal ensures you won’t be charged again. You’ll be able to apply for the complimentary membership once your current subscription expires, as the Upgrade option won’t be available until then.

 

⚠️Important Notes:

  • If you paid for your membership and later learn you qualified for a complimentary membership, please contact us within 30 days of your purchase for a partial refund. For requests outside of this window, we’re unable to issue a refund.
