Is Childcare offered at VETgirl U?
While we’ve provided childcare at past VETgirl U conferences, we are not offering this service this year.
VETgirl U is a professional continuing education conference, and children are generally not permitted in lecture rooms or educational sessions.
We do, however, recognize the needs of nursing parents and families with very young infants. Nursing infants / babes-in-arms may accompany a registered attendee into lecture sessions, provided the infant is held or worn at all times and the attendee steps out promptly if the infant becomes disruptive.
For safety and accessibility reasons, strollers, car seats, and other infant equipment may not be brought into lecture rooms unless specifically approved by VETgirl staff.
Infants and children must be supervised at all times and may not be left unattended in any conference space.
VETgirl also provides a nursing room for the safety, support, and convenience of nursing mothers.
VETgirl remains committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive, family-aware environment while also preserving a focused learning experience for all attendees.
