Applying as a New / Basic / ELITE Trial Member

If you are already a Basic or ELITE Trial member, click the "Upgrade" link from your Membership Page:
On the registration page, select the ELITE Single Membership Level:
Enter your registration information:
Note: To be eligible for a free membership, you need to choose one of the eligible roles mentioned above and/or check the box to indicate that you are an active member or veteran of the military.
If you are a Veterinary Technician / Nurse and work at an accredited veterinary school or veterinary technician school, please select Academic/Faculty to activate the Complimentary Membership application. If you select Veterinary Technician / Nurse the system will only activate the discounted membership and will ask for payment for the membership.
You will be prompted to upload documents for verification on the next page:
After uploading your document, click "Next" to continue with your account registration.
Applying as an current ELITE member
If you are a current VETgirl ELITE member and are eligible for a complimentary membership, visit your Membership page to change your membership.
Under Membership Details, click "CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION RENEWAL" to opt out of auto-renewal for your current plan:

If your application is approved, your membership will switch to complimentary after your current membership period expires.
Note: If you have already made a payment for your membership and later discover that you were actually eligible for a complimentary membership, please note that we are unable to provide a refund for your membership fee outside of the regular window.
Required Documentation
When applying for your complimentary membership, it is important to provide the required documentation. Once your application is approved, you will be granted a complimentary membership.
Military Service Members
Please provide documentation of your veterinary organization affiliation and military service.

- Military ID or veteran ID card
- Proof of name listed on an official document or website of your veterinary school
- Scanned picture of your hospital identification
Veterinary & Vet Tech Students
Please upload proof that shows the dates of both active enrollment and graduation.

- Picture of student ID Card (including graduation date)
- Current enrollment verification certificate (including graduation date)
- Letter from your program director/advisor verifying your enrollment and expected graduation date.
If you are a Penn Foster student, please take a screenshot of your program expiration date and submit as documentation.
Please upload proof that shows the dates of both active enrollment and graduation.
Full-Time Academic / Faculty
Please upload proof of full-time employment.

- Proof of your name listed on an official document or website of your school or university
- Signed document verifying your status by your employer
When you complete registration, you will be assigned a Basic membership with pending ELITE status.
Your application will be reviewed within 24 hours and if accepted, you will be notified via email that your membership has been upgraded to ELITE Single status.
If your application has NOT been accepted because your documents do not provide adequate proof of role/status, you will receive an email notice prompting you to reapply with new documents.
